ANNUAL HOA MEETING HAD GOOD TURNOUT

The Summerfield Homeowners Association’s Annual Meeting and Election was held on Thursday, April 8, 2008. The meeting had a great turnout but did not meet quorum.

We would like to thank Sheri Dickerson for being a great board member and for all her work. Sheri has moved from the neighborhood and we wish her well.

James Gainer was appointed to the board. Welcome James! The new board will decide positions at the next board meeting.

The raffle was great and catering was provided by Pepperoni’s New York Style Pizza. A big thanks to all who helped with the meeting together.

SUMMERFIELD'S WATER DISTRICT, MUD 25, WANTS YOUR OPINION

MUD 25 is currently surveying residents to determine if residents would be supportive of contract (Constable) patrols in the District. I spoke to some of your HOA Board on National Night Out and they indicated they would be supportive. The cost would be only $4 per house.

The MUD is relying solely on returned surveys. Board members and other Summerfield residents should be encouraged to complete this survey for the MUD.

    SUGAR LAND UPDATES

    PLEASE REMEMBER THE LEASH LAW

Just a reminder for all you pet owners to keep your pets on leashes when they are outside the confines of your home or yard. Even if it were not a law, it would still be the sensible thing to do if you love your pet and respect your neighbors. We should protect our pets just as we do our children. We certainly don’t want our dogs to get hit by an automobile and that’s not likely to happen when it is on a leash!

Also, remember to use a pooper scooper or plastic bag to remove your pet’s droppings from other resident’s lawns. It makes a great impression! And, what an easy way to keep the peace with your neighbors!
